![]() | Chip Overview: PT5616/PT5616A are full-bridge driver ICs designed to control power devices such as MOS transistors or IGBTs in three-phase systems with a maximum blocking voltage of 600V. Six independent drivers operate with CMOS and LSTTL-compatible signals on the low side, even at logic voltages as low as 3.3V. The device includes an undervoltage detection unit with hysteresis characteristics and overcurrent detection. The overcurrent level can be adjusted by selecting the resistance value and the threshold at the ITRIP pin. Both fault conditions (undervoltage and overcurrent) will cause all six switches to turn off explicitly. A fault signal is provided on the fault open-drain output pin. The blocking time after an overcurrent can be adjusted via an RC network at the RCIN pin. Therefore, the resistor RRCIN is optional. The typical output current is 200mA for pull-up and 400mA for pull-down. A dead time of 0.29us is implemented for system safety reasons. The functions of inputs EN and ITRIP can be extended with overtemperature detection using an external NTC resistor, diode, and resistor network. |
